CADD MFA Showcase Debuts in Dallas with 11 Student Artists at Commercial Galleries
The Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD) has introduced its inaugural CADD MFA Showcase, which connects MFA students from nine universities in North Texas with 11 galleries in Dallas. Professors have put forward 23 student artists, and each gallery has chosen one piece to exhibit in September. A group exhibition is scheduled for September 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. at 2720 Bataan Street, where attendees will have the opportunity to vote for a winner of a $2,500 prize. CADD President Jordan Roth highlighted the significance of this project for fostering artist growth and community engagement. The finalists are Olga Arseniev Johnson, Sitar Balaban, Niel Brandon, Jody Farmer, Kay Ford, Elizabeth Hutchinson, Audrey Jeanes, Emmaline Landes, Kylie Nash, Gretchen Stark, and Capri Woss. Tickets are available online for $20.
