Busan Biennale 2018 reveals 65 artists from 34 countries for 'Divided We Stand' exhibition
The 2018 Busan Biennale, led by Cristina Ricupero and featuring curator Jörg Heiser along with guest curator Gahee Park and an advisory board, will present works from 65 artists and collectives hailing from 34 different countries. Titled 'Divided We Stand,' the exhibition will explore themes related to divided territories and is set to run from September 8 to November 11 at both the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan and the former Bank of Korea site. Among the showcased artists are Chantal Akerman, Yael Bartana, Phil Collins, Adrian Piper, Hito Steyerl, Lars von Trier, and Zhang Peili. This edition aims to highlight a diverse mix of established and emerging artists from nations like Brazil, Cyprus, and Ukraine, focusing on contemporary geopolitical issues.
