Burning Man 2026: 75 Honoraria Projects and Top Installations

Burning Man 2026, themed 'Axis Mundi', will feature over 400 art installations in the Nevada desert. The Burning Man Project's Black Rock City Honoraria program selected 75 projects, awarding approximately $1.3 million directly to artists, with an additional investment of nearly $6 million for art logistics and services. Among the notable installations are ZARVAN by Gazelle Dasti, a 23-foot interactive sculpture inspired by the Persian deity of time, with periscopes in its eyes and speaking tubes in its ears; Above and Below by Sean Orlando, a 40-foot immersive tree-like structure connecting two realms; ALUNA – The Frequency of Being by Santiago Caro, Tixana Ospina, and Outline Creative Lab from Colombia, which uses water and participant vibrations to alter visual patterns; Axis Mundi: Resonant Spire by Sergei Konchekov, a 33-foot wooden tower converting voices into light and sound; Eiffela Broken Dream by Philippe Maindron, a broken Eiffel Tower in steel, about 15 meters high, with a tightrope for performances; and TITANIC – Titanic's End, a 200-foot-diameter broken ship structure explorable by participants. The event takes place at the end of August in Black Rock City, Nevada, and emphasizes interactive, immersive art rather than passive viewing.
