Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair Expands with 60+ Exhibitors and Political Works

festival-fair · 2026-04-11

The second edition of the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair (BFAPF) runs through Sunday, April 12 at Powerhouse Arts, featuring over 60 exhibitors including independent print shops, publishers, academic departments, and galleries. Notable works include TUG Collective's illuminated screenprint "Shape Shift" (2026), inspired by Yusef Komunyakaa's poetry collection Warhorses (2008), and June Linowitz's abaca paper sculptures of endangered species. Iranian-American artist Golnar Adili presented "A Thousand Pages of Chest in a Thousand Mirrors" (2024), a book-bound diptych referencing Tehran's Azadi Tower. A collaboration between master printer Ruth Lingen and poet Reginald Dwayne Betts, The Papermaker's Suite (2026), uses materials from incarcerated individuals. Political themes addressed Palestinian liberation, Venezuelan identity, and protests against ICE. Exhibitors included Viadukt Screen Prints from Austria, David Krut Projects, and Hecho a Mano from Santa Fe, New Mexico. The fair emphasized book art and paper science, with mixed-media practices expanding printmaking's boundaries.
