Bradley Stephens Designs a Park Avenue Apartment for Danielle Mandelbaum
Designer Bradley Stephens has completed a full-floor Park Avenue apartment for client Danielle Mandelbaum, a third-generation tie maker. The residence features Art Deco and menswear influences, with terrazzo flooring, a sculptural ceiling detail inspired by building capitals, and an art glass elevator vestibule. The living room includes opposing L-shape sofas under a Santa & Cole chandelier, with works by Rudolf Stingel and Piotr Uklanski. The dining room has eight custom resin-coated metal tables for large gatherings. Lighting fixtures include 1970s Gaetano Sciolari chandeliers and vintage Stanislas Reboul sconces. Artworks include a Richard Prince joke painting referencing ties and a Sheila Hicks wall work. The main bedroom features a custom headboard in Jerry Pair fabric with vintage sconces. Stephens has worked with Mandelbaum's family on nearly a dozen projects over 15 years.
