Bowers & Wilkins Unveils 800 Series Diamond D5 Loudspeakers

Bowers & Wilkins has released the D5 version of its 800 Series Diamond loudspeakers, featuring a host of physical and mechanical upgrades. The range includes seven models, from the 805 D5 stand-mount to the HTM81 D5 and HTM82 D5 home theatre speakers. The flagship 801 D5, originally launched in 1979, retains the brand's signature stacked driver configuration with separate enclosures for the woofer, midrange, and tweeter. New finishes include Stealth Black, Warm White, Light Walnut, and Dark Walnut, paired with aluminum components and Connolly leather trim. Internal upgrades feature new aluminum space-frame bracing for enhanced rigidity. Each speaker is handcrafted at Bowers & Wilkins' factory in Worthing, England. Prices range from £8,000 to £43,000 per pair.
