Boroló: A Contemporary Reinterpretation of Bogotá's Traditional Architecture

A new residential initiative called Boroló is poised to transform the architectural scenery in Bogotá's Teusaquillo neighborhood, Colombia. Spearheaded by lead architect Carlos Alberto Martínez Valencia from AR-AR Martínez Arquitectura y Paisaje and María Paula González Bozzi, this project covers 5,200 square meters and is expected to be finished by 2026. The design team, which includes María Paula González, Manuela Eble Cárdenas, and Jesús Alfonso Fiallo Arango, collaborates with Fiallo Atelier. Curated by Valentina Díaz, Boroló presents a modern take on the traditional architecture that once characterized Bogotá. Teusaquillo, recognized for its historic brick structures and vibrant culture, serves as an ideal backdrop for this innovative endeavor, merging contemporary design with historical elements.
