Boris Acket and Maison the Faux Stage "Everything Moist Seems Alive" at MU During Dutch Design Week

exhibition · 2026-10-22

At the MU Hybrid Art House in Eindhoven, a dimly lit space showcases five kinetic water installations linked by transparent tubing, blending Boris Acket's minimalist approach with the maximalist style of Maison the Faux. Entitled Everything Moist Seems Alive, this exhibit is the culmination of two years of discussions centered on water, drawing inspiration from Astrida Neimanis' 2012 essay, Hydrofeminism. Above, videos portray "leaky saints," brought to life through daily choral performances by the Dutch National Opera and Ballet. Each of the five "water bodies" — The Well, The Womb, The Whirl, The Wake, and The Waterfall — symbolizes various relationships with water, rooted in Greek mythology. Dutch Design Week 2026 will take place from 17 to 25 October in Eindhoven.
