On 8 July, Bonhams conducted its Fine Jewellery sale in London, showcasing a range of signed jewels, antique items, and coloured gemstones sourced from individual collections. The standout piece was a David Morris necklace featuring cultured pearls and diamonds, which fetched £40,960, surpassing its estimate of £25,000-35,000. Another remarkable item was a natural pearl necklace accompanied by a diamond clasp, which sold for £39,680, significantly exceeding its estimate of £7,000-10,000. Jennifer Tonkin, Head of Jewellery at Bonhams UK, remarked on the impressive demand for natural pearls. The auction highlighted a strong interest in both signed and antique jewellery.
