The Bharat Connect website, which handles approximately ₹5000 crore in daily bill payments, has undergone a redesign by BOMBAYDC. As reported by Creative Gaga, the initiative aimed to accommodate a wide range of users, including banks, NBFCs, billers, and businesses. Research indicated that the previous version prioritized internal organization over user requirements. The revamped site now includes specialized microsites for different stakeholders, streamlining documentation and resources according to user intent. An interactive statistics section enhances data accessibility. Additionally, the platform supports services such as B2B, UPMS, and UPI AutoPay, while being optimized for large datasets, responsive design, and rapid loading times. Content updates are now completed in under four hours, improving the agility of the national payment infrastructure.
