Bologna's Ten Historical Wounds Examined in Week-Long Exhibition at Villa delle Rose
From June 21 to 28, 2026, Bologna's Villa delle Rose will feature "Le ferite di Bologna. Come l’arte può ricucire la storia," an exhibition curated by Spazio Taverna, founded by Ludovico Pratesi and Marco Bassan. This event will present ten artworks from various Italian artists, including Luca Bertolo, David Casini, and Francesca Grilli, each addressing a unique historical trauma on Amatruda paper. Key events examined include the 1321 Studium revolt and the 1920 bombing at Palazzo d'Accursio. This exhibition is the fourth installment of a traveling series that began in Rome in 2023 and has already been showcased in Milan and Turin. An accompanying critical text explores Bologna's historical challenges around autonomy and civic trust.
