BMW M Concept Neue Klasse debuts at Le Mans with four-motor electric drivetrain
At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, BMW revealed their M Concept Neue Klasse, illustrating their future plans for electric performance. This innovative concept boasts a four-motor electric drivetrain, blending motorsport-inspired design with sustainable materials. Developed by BMW M, it features the BMW M eDrive system, managed by centralized software called Heart of Joy, and employs sixth-generation Neue Klasse technology with an impressive 800-volt setup and over 100 kWh battery capacity. Exterior highlights include a V-shaped air outlet and striking yellow light signatures similar to GT race cars, along with a unique trimaran-style front bumper. Inside, the focus is on the driver with four bucket seats in Bathurst Blue and Berry Red leather. Oliver Heilmer, BMW's design head, noted that the goal is to enhance performance and see electrification as a natural progression of BMW M’s racing legacy.
