bMotion Collective's LOUD at Piano Terra Explores Disorientation and Resilience

The bMotion Collective, comprising Alessio Ancillai and ELLE, presents LOUD at Piano Terra in Rome from May 29 to June 19, 2026. The installation, curated by Giorgia Rissone and part of the Project Window series, transforms the venue's window into a liminal space between city and artwork. LOUD engages with the psychiatric concept of Ratlosigkeit (disorientation), using fog, red LED light, and a dual-frequency soundscape (low 50–250 Hz and high frequencies) to evoke a state of perceptual fragmentation. The red LED line persists as a symbol of vital thought, while low frequencies vibrate through the body even when obscured by noise. The work includes paintings made with foratino dust and black pigment, alluding to reconstruction from disintegration. The collective aims to address human destructiveness and resilience, focusing on the internal experience of both victims and perpetrators. The sound architecture, designed by ELLE, features a melodic line that reemerges after crisis, representing the persistence of human vitality. The project is hosted by Piano Terra, a space dedicated to didactics and research, not a traditional gallery.
