BLT Arquitectos Designs Innovation Hub for Universidad Católica de Córdoba
BLT Arquitectos has completed the HUB UCC, an innovation space for the Universidad Católica de Córdoba in Argentina. The 650-square-meter project, finished in 2025, is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and social cohesion within the university community. The architects, led by Esteban Barrera, Javier Lozada, and Valentín Viegas, aimed to transcend the traditional campus layout of isolated buildings per academic unit, instead creating flexible spaces that encourage the intersection of disciplines and ideas. The hub is intended to accommodate future unknown innovations and materialize ideas through interdisciplinary convergence. Structural engineering was provided by Alberto García, lighting by Soppe ingeniería, and other engineering and consulting by DEPRO. Photographs of the project were taken by Gonzalo Viramonte. The project was curated by Valentina Díaz and featured on ArchDaily.
