BIS Biennale Itinerante del Sociale Returns to Brescia with 'Geografie del margine'

From June 13 to August 2, 2026, CARME in Brescia will host the second edition of the BIS – Biennale Itinerante del Sociale, under the theme 'Geografie del margine. Tra crisi ambientali e diritti negati.' Organized by Associazione Culturale Pachamama, this event uses documentary photography to address contemporary issues. It will display works from ten global photographers, including Anna Consilia Alemanno and Pino Bertelli, showcasing scenes from Latin to Central America and focusing on topics like climate change and migration. There will also be workshops and artist discussions to foster community involvement. Entry is free, and the gallery is open Thursday through Sunday, 4 PM to 8 PM. A special discussion on June 18 at 8 PM will feature Murat Yazar and art historian Simona Isacchini, with journalist Manuel Colosio moderating.
