Birkenstock Moc Toe Line Brings Closed Shoes for Year-Round Wear

Birkenstock, the German footwear brand renowned for its contoured footbed, has introduced the Moc Toe line, a collection of closed shoes designed for autumn and winter. This marks a departure from the brand's association with summer sandals like the Boston and Arizona models. The line features three silhouettes: Naples Wrapped, a hybrid clog-loafer with a penny loafer-inspired strap; Utti Lace, a minimalist laced shoe without metal eyelets; and Highwood Moc, a structured urban style with metal eyelets and a chunky sole. The closed models incorporate the Deep Blue Footbed, a technical version of the classic footbed with microfiber lining, jute layer, and cork-EVA stabilizer, ensuring comfort and support. The moc toe stitching, a U-shaped line on the toe, references early 20th-century workwear culture, emphasizing durability and movement. The collection is available at selected retailers and on Birkenstock's website. This expansion reflects Birkenstock's strategy to offer year-round comfort, moving beyond its summer-only reputation.
