BIG's EVE Music Hall in Croatia Wrapped in Limestone Curtains

Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is constructing EVE Music Hall in Čepin, eastern Croatia, set to open in early 2027. It will be BIG's first completed project in Croatia and its first finished music venue. Developed with Marko Pipunić, the 10,000-square-meter complex features a music hall and a congress hall linked by a shared foyer, accommodating nearly 4,000 indoors and up to 25,000 on festival grounds. The defining facade uses locally quarried limestone folded like theatrical curtains, inspired by Slavonian farmland patterns. Inside, curving timber beams form a tent-like canopy, with mirrored walls amplifying daylight. A publicly accessible rooftop terrace offers panoramic views. The project transforms an agricultural plain into a cultural destination for concerts, conferences, and festivals.
