BienNoLo: Milan's First Neighborhood Biennial Opens in Ex-Panettone Factory

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

The first BienNoLo art event is set to take place in Milan's NoLo district from May 17 to 26, 2019, at the former Laboratorio Panettoni Giovanni Cova. Organized by ArtCityLab, under the direction of Gianni Romano and Rossana Ciocca, the event is conceived by Carlo Vanoni and curated by Matteo Bergamini. Entitled #Eptacaidecafobia, it focuses on phobias, especially the fear of the unfamiliar, and will be illuminated by natural light, allowing free admission for up to 200 visitors. Featuring 37 artists, such as 2501, Mario Airò, and Adrian Paci, the initiative strives for inclusivity. Collaborations include PianoCity, Paolo Nava, Tranvai, and Parco Trotter, along with a mapping of open studios to highlight local artists absent from the biennial.
