Bienno Borgo degli Artisti 2.0: residenza performativa in Valle Camonica

A medieval village in Valle Camonica, Bienno, hosts the second edition of Bienno Borgo degli Artisti 2.0 – Residence Project, a ten-day residency for contemporary performance practices that concludes on July 5, 2026. Curated by Cinzia Bontempi, the project fosters dialogue between artists, territory, and local community, integrating landscape and memory into creative processes. Six artists—Marta Molinari, Paola Fiterre, Wanling Mo, Giovanna Piccinini, Athina Kanela, and Alexander Diego Gil Valle—developed site-specific interventions across streets, squares, and spaces like the Grigna stream, Museo del Mulino, and Parada. Their works address identity, memory, migration, and body-landscape relations: Piccinini involves women with Parkinson's in participatory action; Fiterre uses the body to measure fatigue and uprooting from migration; Gil Valle challenges Cuban identity stereotypes; Molinari explores ritual and relationality with organic materials; Kanela examines vulnerability as collective transformation; Mo creates an immersive performance in dialogue with water. The final day features a diffused performative route from 5:00 to 8:30 PM, ending with a convivial moment at Parada open to the public, artists, and residents.
