Biennale College Cinema 2026-2027: 12 Projects Selected, Bukhman Foundation as Main Sponsor
At the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, La Biennale di Venezia revealed 12 projects for the upcoming 15th edition (2026-2027) of Biennale College Cinema, aimed at nurturing emerging filmmakers. Each selected project will be allocated €200,000 to create a microbudget feature film. This initiative is backed by the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Bukhman Foundation, established in 2023 by Anastasia and Igor Bukhman, with additional contributions from Chanel. Academic collaborators include the Gotham Film & Media Institute and TorinoFilmLab. Filmmakers will participate in workshops on San Servolo from October 5-15, leading to the selection of up to four projects for further development and a world premiere at the 84th Venice International Film Festival.
