Bez+Kock Architekten Designs Educational Center in Rottenburg

architecture-design · 2026-06-30

Bez+Kock Architekten has completed a multi-generational educational center in Rottenburg am Neckar, Germany, integrating a kindergarten, music school, and adult education center. The 1,165 m² project, set to finish in 2026, sits directly on the city moat of the medieval historic center. The adjacent historically protected school building from 1887 was incorporated into the design, with a contemporary twin building constructed alongside to honor the site's heritage. Lead architects Martin Bez and Thorsten Kock led the team, with project management by Ernst2 Architekten and landscape architecture by frei raum concept. Photographs by Brigida González document the project.
