Bétyle Studio Brings Iberian Tavern Spirit to Arcane 17 Restaurant in Paris
Bétyle Studio, located in Marseille, has finalized the interior design for Arcane 17, a restaurant featuring Basque and Catalan cuisine in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, Le Marais. Established in January 2025 by Carla Romano and Nicolas Cazenave de la Roche, the studio specializes in both interior architecture and furniture design. Their vision was to modernize the concept of an Iberian tavern, incorporating elements like ebonised wood panelling, a tubular stainless steel bar adorned with marquetry, classic bentwood seating, and a striking red banquette. Drawing inspiration from rural churches and traditional fans, a local carpenter created custom joinery, while plaster sconces designed by local studio Côme Clérino mimic seashells. Previously, Bétyle Studio converted a farm building in Marseille into a wood-lined residence. Photography by Axel Aurejac.
