Berlin's Nightlife History Tour: From Marlene Dietrich to Seeed

The touring show "Berlin, du coole Sau" celebrates 100 years of Berlin's club culture, from the 1920s to today. The production, featuring travesty artist Edith Zabel as toilet attendant Adele, has already seen 60 performances, mostly in Berlin, with some festival guest appearances. Now, The Capital Dance Orchestras, with singers Sharon Brauner and Meta Hüper, will tour Germany starting in October. Brauner also wrote and directed the show, while Hüper handles musical direction. The performance spans Berlin's nightlife from the Luna Park to Berghain, including the darker periods of the city's history. A quote from Bertolt Brecht, calling Berlin Sodom and Gomorrah, serves as a clear statement for the show, reflecting the drive of Berlin's people over a century.
