Berlin Biennale 10th Edition Curatorial Team Revealed with International Collaborators
Gabi Ngcobo has assembled a diverse curatorial team for the 10th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, bringing together Moses Serubiri from Kampala, Uganda; Nomaduma Rosa Masilela based in New York, US; Thiago de Paula Souza from São Paulo, Brazil; and Berlin-based Yvette Mutumba. Their selection reflects shared interests in unconventional organizational processes, counter-institutional initiatives, and narratives that challenge established power dynamics. The biennial will be held from 9 June to 9 September 2018. Visual identity design will be handled by graphic designer Maziyar Pahlevan. The team's collective focus includes exploring themes ranging from the politics of opacity to speculative futures beyond apocalyptic scenarios.
