Bent by Spring: Bamboo Canopy by HCCH Studio at Gucheng Park

HCCH Studio has designed 'Bent by Spring', a suspended bamboo canopy for the Shanghai International Flower Show, commissioned by Power Station of Art. The installation occupies the sunken entrance plaza of Gucheng Park along the tourist route connecting The Bund and Yu Garden. It stages a dialogue between Shanghai's old city texture and the Lujiazui skyline. Completion is set for 2026. The design team includes Hao Chen, Chenchen Hu, Qisen Yang, and Feng Qi, with structures by Zhun Zhang and contractor Art Zhou. Photographs are by Guowei Liu.
