Bel-Air's Legendary Casa Contenta, Host to Hollywood's Golden Age Stars, Listed for $12.7 Million

Casa Contenta, a historic estate in Bel-Air that welcomed Hollywood's elite in the 1950s, is now on the market for $12.7 million. For nearly 80 years, the Feldman family has owned this property, which was a venue for lavish gatherings featuring stars like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Clark Gable, Cary Grant, and Lucille Ball. The mansion, with interiors crafted by silent film star Tom Douglas, includes 11 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, and a 2,700-square-foot casita called the 'Copper Room,' which has a 35mm film screening area, guest suites, and a party space with two bars and a dance floor. Amenities also include a tennis court, gym, pool, and staff quarters. David Feldman, whose mother passed away in 2024 at 106, is selling the estate, hoping the new owner will maintain its historic character. The property is listed by real estate expert Carl Gambino.
