BBC Radio 1 Announces Live Lounge Month 2026 Line-Up with Sam Smith, Chase & Status, Jorja Smith

BBC Radio 1 has revealed the full line-up for its Live Lounge month, scheduled for October 2026. The sessions, which will air on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at midday, feature a diverse range of artists including Sam Smith, Chase & Status, Jorja Smith, Blossoms, Nothing But Thieves, Stella Lefty, Beabadoobee, Odeal, Anderson .Paak, Cordae, Rachel Chinouriri, and Royal Blood. Each guest will perform an acoustic version of one of their own songs and a cover of a track by a different artist. The run kicks off with Stockport-formed band Blossoms on 5 October and concludes with Brighton duo Royal Blood on 30 October, with a surprise artist still to be announced for the slot just before them. Jorja Smith's appearance follows the release of her third album, 'What Are The Odds'. The Live Lounge show is now fronted by Charlie Hedges and Jeremiah Asiamah, who take over after previous hosts Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom left the station in a schedule shake-up. Asiamah expressed his excitement, calling it a 'privilege' to host the upcoming line-up. The announcement comes after a period of change at Radio 1, with several presenters departing earlier in the year.
