BBC DJ Trevor Nelson reveals brain tumour surgery 'went well'

Trevor Nelson, a 62-year-old BBC DJ and presenter, has disclosed that he took a break from his career following a brain tumour diagnosis. He last appeared on air in June, announcing his health-related hiatus. In an Instagram video, Nelson expressed how the revelation of the tumour drastically changed his life, though he shared that he underwent 'very serious surgery' that 'went incredibly well.' He reassured his followers that he is recovering at home and feeling 'great right now,' eager to return to his duties. Earlier this year, he marked 30 years with the BBC. Colleagues like Zoe Ball, Clara Amfo, and comedian Romesh Ranganathan extended their support, while The Brain Tumour Charity thanked him for his openness. Nelson began at Kiss FM before joining Radio 1 in 1996 and has hosted various shows, earning an MBE in 2002 for his work with the Millennium Volunteers programme.
