Bardo wraps Madrid apartment in neon acrylic and stone

Bardo, an architecture firm located in Madrid, has finalized the renovation of Casa Macedonia, an apartment characterized by its fragmented design. Utilizing neon-hued acrylic, stone, and layered materials, the refurbishment delineates various areas while ensuring a sense of flow. The layout reconfigures the apartment around a private courtyard, facilitating continuous movement throughout the space. Translucent neon acrylic encases existing structural components like columns and beams, serving as architectural links between the living and sleeping zones. Each room possesses a unique material and color scheme: the dining area features a curved aubergine MDF wall; the kitchen showcases white tiles, deep blue cabinets, and a wavy stone countertop; and the bathrooms incorporate curved shapes, micro-tiling, and natural hues.
