Barde vanVoltt creates brutalist penthouse sanctuary in Mexico City

Barde vanVoltt, a design studio from the Netherlands, has finalized a 300-square-metre penthouse in Mexico City, described as a "brutalist sanctuary." This two-story home, created for fashion designer Tony and writer Rafael, showcases textured stucco walls, stainless steel surfaces, and artistic stone features. Its H-shaped design incorporates light wells and a central area with an elevator and staircase. The lower level contains living, dining, and kitchen spaces, while the upper floor features bedrooms and bathrooms. The "Warm Brutalism" concept merges sharp lines with soft curves. On the upper level, a writer's studio, gym, and lounge lead to a terrace equipped with a grill, fire pit, and plunge pool.
