BAIT and G-SHOCK Release DW5600 'Yamagata's Finest' Banana-Themed Watch

BAIT and G-SHOCK have teamed up to introduce a fresh version of the iconic DW5600 timepiece, dubbed 'Yamagata's Finest.' This watch features a vibrant yellow square resin case and band, adorned with brown speckles to evoke the appearance of a ripe banana. Its face is a soft gray surrounding the digital display, with dark flecks distributed at various angles on the band rather than in a uniform pattern. The name pays homage to Yamagata Prefecture, where Casio's Premium Production Line is located, celebrating the brand's Japanese craftsmanship. The packaging includes a cartoon character named Shawty with Freckles, which is engraved on the caseback and lights up with the LED backlight. The watch is presented in a custom tin resembling a fruit shipment, complete with a nutrition-label-style graphic. The DW5600 maintains its shock-resistant build, 200-meter water resistance, 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and LED backlight. It is identified by the model number DW5600BAIT26-9 and is part of the G-SHOCK DW5600 series. The design cleverly avoids sculpted banana features, instead using color and packaging to express the theme while ensuring the watch remains practical. This collaboration was unveiled in October 2026.
