Aurora Arquitectos Renovates 1950s Row House in Lisbon's Restelo

In Lisbon's Restelo neighborhood, a row house from the 1950s has been renovated by Aurora Arquitectos, led by principals Sofia Couto and Sérgio Antunes. The project, completed in 2026, covers 200 square meters and involved general construction by Blue Construção, with mechanical engineering consultancy by Sprenplan. The renovation aimed to address the successive transformations that had altered the original identity of these homes, particularly on the facades facing the rear courtyards. The design sought to restore coherence to the dwelling while respecting the repetitive, domestic scale and facade continuity that characterize the area.
