Atlante Ginoulhiac Exhibition at CASVA in Milan

The exhibition 'Atlante Ginoulhiac' is on view at the new CASVA headquarters in the QT8 district of Milan until August 30. Dedicated to the couple Teresa Arslan and Francesco Ginoulhiac, who were active in Bergamo in the second half of the 20th century, the show is curated and installed by Marco Ginoulhiac and Ana Neiva. The subtitle 'Modus Operandi' hints at the exhibition's focus on the architectural profession from multiple perspectives. The display features original drawings on tracing paper with ink or dense graphite sketches, black-and-white photographs, wooden models, models made from aluminum window frame sections, plywood furniture, and inlaid sculptures. These works document the couple's urban and architectural dimension as well as their playful-artistic side, extending to goldsmith craftsmanship. Light partitions divide thematic areas labeled debut, home, city, movement, refractions, and microcosms. The richness of original materials is accompanied by architectural projects that capture the 1960s, including theaters, residential complexes, and houses. The exhibition educates about a profession still conceived as 'visual, cultural, and material experimentation.'
