Atelier OO Completes CorNori Commercial Park at Chengdu's Luxelakes with Floating Timber Canopy

architecture-design · 2026-09-11

Atelier OO has completed CorNori Commercial Park, a 300 m² restaurant and landscape architecture project within REDSTONE Park at LUXELAKES in Chengdu, China. The project, slated for completion in 2026, is defined by a continuous canopy of seemingly floating timber roofs that spans a terraced sunken park. This canopy negotiates a nearly ten-metre level change via gently sloping paths, linking neighborhood entrances to a metro passage while integrating several small commercial nodes. The design unifies commercial spaces, pedestrian movement, and places to pause under a single roof field. The client is Chengdu Luxelakes Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., with Luo Xi, Liang Xinyin, and Liang Jiahao as client representatives. Lead architects are Shao An, He Zhenzhong, and Wu Yifei. Z+D Landscape provided landscape design, and Chengdu Wuhao Timber Structure Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. handled engineering. Photographs are by Siming Wu. The project was curated by HAN Shuang (韩爽).
