Aston Martin and Brough Superior Unveil Road-Legal AMB 002 Roadster
Aston Martin and Brough Superior have unveiled the AMB 002 Roadster, a road-legal superbike that marks the culmination of their long-running collaboration. The partnership, first announced in 2019 with the track-only AMB 001 and followed by the AMB 001 Pro in 2022, has now produced a machine designed for public roads. The AMB 002 Roadster is an all-new design developed with the Aston Martin Design Studio, featuring a lightweight carbon fibre body, a water-cooled V-Twin engine producing 130bhp, and a distinctive insectoid aesthetic with gill-like air vents and a scorpion-tail seat. Production is limited to 300 units, with manufacturing taking place at Brough Superior's headquarters in Toulouse, France, where the titanium structural frame, weighing just 5kg, will be crafted. The bike's total weight is 190kg. Orders are now being accepted, with first deliveries expected in Q3 2027. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's executive vice president and chief creative officer, described the AMB 002 as a 'vivid expression of our shared passion for sculptural, visceral, covetable machines.' Thierry Henriette, Brough Superior's leader, praised its dynamic performance. Brough Superior, founded in 1919 and known as T.E. Lawrence's preferred motorcycle maker, was revived in the 2010s under Henriette's leadership. The AMB 002 Roadster represents a new chapter for both brands, blending Aston Martin's design language with Brough Superior's engineering heritage.
