Ashley Cluer creates world's first evoZero sculpture for Clerkenwell Design Week

Ashley Cluer, a London-based sculptor, has just introduced the world's first sculpture made from evoZero, an innovative low-carbon cement by Heidelberg Materials. This artwork, created for Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, aims to encourage conversations around sustainability. Cluer's artistic style, shaped by her London roots and art school experiences, challenges conventional boundaries. With help from Heidelberg's teams at Battersea and King's Cross, the sculpture is now part of their permanent collection and is showcased at Techspace on 140 Goswell Road until the end of June, after which it will move elsewhere in London. Moreover, since October 2024, her piece 'An Ode to Never Fitting In' has been a staple at Harbour Quay Gardens in Canary Wharf. In June, she’ll debut her first marble sculpture at Flowers Gallery on Cork Street, a creation from her residency in Italy. Cluer emphasizes the significance of teamwork, determination, and making art accessible to the public.
