Arturo Galansino to Curate Panorama 2027 in Genoa

In late June 2027, Genoa will host the sixth iteration of Panorama, an exhibition organized by the ITALICS gallery network, marking its debut in a metropolitan area. Previous editions took place in Procida (2021), Monopoli (2022), L'Aquila (2023), Monferrato (2024), and Pozzuoli (2025). Arturo Galansino, an art historian and the general director of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, will curate this year’s event, following curators such as Vincenzo de Bellis and Chiara Parisi. Galansino's experience includes roles at the Louvre and the National Gallery, and he has curated works by renowned artists like Ai Weiwei and Jeff Koons. To enhance global engagement, the event has been moved to early summer. Additionally, a volume documenting Panorama's first five years will be published by Allemandi in autumn 2026. Founded on April 25, 2020, by Lorenzo Fiaschi and Pepi Marchetti Franchi, ITALICS now comprises around 60 prominent Italian galleries specializing in ancient, modern, and contemporary art.
