Artist Hopid Unveiled: Flagstaff Exhibition Reunites Works by Hopi Collective
The Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff is hosting an exhibit titled "Artist Hopid Unveiled," which honors the Artist Hopid collective established in 1973. The showcase features notable pieces from founding members, including the late Michael Kabotie and Delbridge Honanie. Attendees can explore three galleries: "Tending the Source," open until September 8; "Ancestral Echoes," running from September 12 to December 6; and "Enduring Images," available from December 11, 2026, to April 30, 2027. Among highlighted works are Neil David Sr.’s "Awatovi Ceremonials" and Honanie's "Awatovi Woman Ceremony," with contributions from collector Karen Laitner Benz.
