Artist Arina Borevich Crafts Over 40 Felted Nudibranch Sculptures Inspired by Marine Life

Arina Borevich, a wool artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia, creates hand-felted sculptures of nudibranchs, also known as sea slugs. She has produced more than 40 different species, with each piece requiring approximately 12 hours to complete using sheep's wool. Borevich aims to eventually craft all 3,000 known sea slug varieties, aspiring to compile a comprehensive woolen guide. Her favorite species to replicate is Costasiella kuroshimae, which resembles cartoon sheep. Currently on hiatus due to pregnancy, she continues to engage supporters through monthly giveaways and offers art prints of her work.
