Arthur Simms's First French Solo Show at RX&SLAG Paris

Galerie RX&SLAG Paris is presenting the first solo exhibition in France by Jamaican-born artist Arthur Simms, titled "Portrait of a Politician Vomiting." The show runs from April 18 to June 18, 2026. Simms is known for mixed-media assemblages that incorporate found objects, rope, and fabric, often addressing themes of identity, memory, and politics. The exhibition includes works such as "Lamentation of a friends 3" (2003), shown in a detail photograph by Éric Simon. The gallery, a collaboration between RX and SLAG, aims to introduce Simms's practice to a French audience.
