Art Paris 2026 Returns to Grand Palais with Dual Themes and Emerging Galleries

Art Paris, the contemporary art fair, launches its 28th edition at the Grand Palais. The event features two curated themes: "Babel–Art and Language in France," organized by Loïc Le Gall, and "Reparation," curated by Alexia Fabre. The "Babel" section includes artists like Laure Prouvost and Fabrice Hyber, presented by galleries such as Galerie Catherine Issert and Galerie Jeanne Bucher Jaeger. "Reparation" explores themes of healing and colonial legacy, featuring works by Uman, Fabienne Verdier, Shilpa Gupta, and Rafael Domenech through galleries like Galerie Anne Barrault and Galerie Christophe Gaillard. The fair's "Promises" program highlights emerging galleries including Bridge Gallery, Cassandra Bird Gallery, Galerie Valerie Delaunay, and C+N Gallery CANEPANERI. A design section runs concurrently with PAD Paris, showcasing designers like Emma Donnersberg with her Rajasthan-inspired Delhi collection and India Mahdavi, alongside Rinck, Bruno Moinard Édition, Mercœur, and Phillipe Hurel. Solo presentations feature artists such as Bernard Buffet, Erró, Soo Kyoung Lee, Julie Navarro, Christiane Löhr, and Hugo Pratt. Three awards will be presented: the BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize for the French scene, the Her Art Prize for women artists with social impact, and Le FRENCH DESIGN prize for interior design. General Director Guillaume Piens emphasized the fair's role in balancing local French galleries with international dialogue.
