Art deco-inspired redesign of Peak restaurant and Avenue Sky Lounge at The Edge

The interiors of dining establishments at The Edge, the triangular observation deck located in New York's Hudson Yards, have been transformed by design studio iCrave in collaboration with Tao Group Hospitality. The redesign encompasses Peak with Priceless, situated on the 101st floor of the KPF-designed 30 Hudson Yards skyscraper, and introduces Avenue Sky Lounge, a revival of the famed Chelsea nightclub that shuttered in 2020 due to the pandemic. Susan Nugraha, SVP of design and development at Tao Group Hospitality, partnered with iCrave, part of the experiential design collective Journey. Both venues showcase views of the Manhattan skyline through expansive windows, inspired by art deco landmarks like the Empire State Building. The revamped Peak features booths oriented for optimal views, while Avenue Sky Lounge incorporates similar design elements and will also host Marquee Skydeck events with DJs at 1,100 feet, the highest observation deck in the western hemisphere.
