• Ars Belga – Matthu – Boghossian opens at 2 Rue Saint-Georges in Brussels with an inaugural exhibition of Piero Dorazio and Charles Pollock.
• The gallery is located in the Saint-Georges neighbourhood, next door to Xavier Hufkens, and launches as Brussels begins its 2026 art season.
• Dorazio and Charles Pollock met in Rome in the early 1960s after Pollock arrived with his wife, Sylvia, for a sabbatical year and contacted Italian art figures on the advice of critic Clement Greenberg.
• Piero Dorazio lived 1927–2005 and was a key figure in postwar Italian abstraction, known for chromatic compositions built around colour, light and rhythm.
• Charles Pollock, older brother of Jackson Pollock, taught design at Michigan State University, created the Chapala series, and later moved to Rome and then Paris.
• The Archivio Piero Dorazio is preparing the artist's catalogue raisonné; Dorazio is represented in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Tate in London and Centre Pompidou in Paris.
• Ars Belga focuses on Belgian Surrealism, postwar and contemporary Korean art, kinetic art and Op Art, Brazilian self-taught art, and American and European conceptual and minimalist art.
• The gallery will participate in Abu Dhabi Art, Art Genève and BRAFA, and offers advisory services to private collectors, artists and family estates.
