Arianna De Luca: Ceramics as Characters in Rome

In the Pigneto district of Rome, Arianna De Luca's studio transforms ceramics into vibrant, sculptural figures. Originally from Abruzzo, she pursued Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins in London before returning to Italy to immerse herself in the ceramic heritage of Castelli. Her initial work, Uccellacci, reinterprets roosters and hens as geometric shapes influenced by the landscapes of Abruzzo. Over the past six years, her artistic journey has evolved to include more feminine shapes and striking silhouettes, resulting in collections such as Bonanza, Folcloristica, Carosello, Riviera, Balera, and La Graziosa. De Luca's creations are featured in prestigious locations like The Conran Shop, Bulgari, and Four Seasons Hotels, reflecting her view of heritage as a dynamic language rather than mere nostalgia.
