Architecture BRIO Completes DUA Villa Weekend Residence in Alibaug, India
DUA Villa, a weekend home in Alibaug, was completed in 2023 by Architecture BRIO for a couple from Bombay and their three young children. Spanning 2,087 m², the residence caters to clients seeking a nature-infused retreat that doesn’t overwhelm them, contrasting with their urban lifestyle. The project was spearheaded by Robert Verrijt, Shefali Balwani, and Rohit Mankar, alongside designers Anushri Shetty, Arka Banerjee, Grishma Shah, Mimo Shirazi, and Ritika Mehta. Kunal Maniar & Associates handled the landscape design, while Rajeev Shah & Associates managed structural engineering. Other contributors included Econ Consultants for MEP design, Mortar Construction for civil work, and Nashwin Electrical Pvt. Ltd. for electrical tasks. Ishita Sitwala captured the project for The Fishy Project, and it features in ArchDaily's houses category, curated by Miwa Negoro.
