Araminta Blue's 'Venti Trasversali' Opens at Palazzo della Penna in Perugia

Araminta Blue (born 1990, Cyprus) presents 'Venti Trasversali' at Palazzo della Penna in Perugia, curated by Riccardo Freddo, Head of Museum and Institutional Relationships at Rosenfeld Gallery (London). The exhibition runs from June 12 to July 26, 2026. Blue created the works during a residency at Freddo's 'The Place of Silence' in Umbria while pregnant, giving birth weeks before the opening. The paintings explore themes of love, maternity, and the body, with figurative elements emerging from abstraction. Freddo, who studied at Stanford, Sotheby's, and the Sorbonne, emphasizes a slow-viewing approach counter to Instagram-friendly art. The show opens with a portrait of the late gallerist Ian Rosenfeld, founder of Rosenfeld Gallery, who championed long-term artist development. Freddo's strategy focuses on institutional recognition over commercial turnover, having placed over twenty exhibitions in museums and institutions since joining the gallery in January 2023.
