Araksa Tea Garden Opens 210 m² Tea Boutique in Chiang Mai by Simple Architecture and thirteenthree
Completed in 2024, a 210 m² tea boutique has been built at the Araksa Tea Garden in Chiang Mai, Thailand, designed by the firms Simple Architecture and thirteenthree. Jan Glasmeier served as lead architect, with Cathleen Wing Kee and John Lim as lead interior designers. The project falls under the retail category, and photography was provided by Araksa Tea Garden, with images courtesy of thirteenthree. The commission follows the 2018 completion of the original Araksa Tea House, after which the estate's standing as a major tourist destination expanded quickly. The garden itself ranks among the oldest in Thailand, spanning 111 acres. In 1941, roughly 50 acres were planted with Assam tea, and those plants were left unmanaged for 15 years. The estate now yields what is described as some of the finest organic tea in the country. The boutique was curated by Miwa Negoro.
