Apple Watch Designer Julian Hoenig Unveils Screenless Electric Buggy Amble One

Julian Hoenig, the chief designer behind the Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, has introduced the Amble One, a street-legal electric buggy that lacks a screen and doors, achieving a maximum speed of 65 kph (40 mph). This vehicle was unveiled on 25 June 2026 in Lisbon. Weighing 450 kg (992 lbs), it is equipped with an 11 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 15 kW motor, offering a range exceeding 100 km (62 miles). Emphasizing high-quality materials such as aluminum, leather, cotton, and cork, the design minimizes technological elements. The founding team features Adrien Roose (co-founder of Cowboy), Michael Tropper (founder of forpeople), and José António Uva (restorer of São Lourenço do Barrocal). Targeting the hospitality sector, properties like Amangiri and Six Senses Les Bordes have already reserved delivery slots for 2027, with a consumer launch set for 2028. The starting price is €20,000 / $25,000 before taxes, and the vehicle is already registered for road use in Portugal.
