Apple has unveiled HomeView, a seven-inch touchscreen device that integrates its application offerings and home-management tools. This product acts as a physical interface for the Apple Home app, which debuted in 2022, allowing users to manage smart locks, appliances, cameras, and thermostats. There are two variants: a tabletop version featuring a built-in speaker and a wall-mounted option. HomeView includes a home screen, apps, widgets, a front-facing camera, and supports FaceTime. It can identify up to six users with tailored settings and comes equipped with an intercom feature. The tabletop model, resembling the 2002 iMac G4, is constructed from recycled aluminum and incorporates a new iteration of Siri alongside updated home products.
