Antolini Stone Surfaces Revive 18th-Century Amsterdam Canal House in RVO Design Renovation

architecture-design · 2026-10-12

For the renovation of an 18th-century canal house in Amsterdam, Ruud van Oosterhout from RVO Design chose Antolini's natural stone surfaces. The entrance, living room, and guest bathroom feature Calacatta "Wow" marble flooring, enhanced by walnut paneling and horse-patterned wallpaper. In the kitchen, Patagonia Original Tourmaline was selected for the island and worktop, adding a sculptural element to the area. A staircase clad in walnut encircles a glass lift shaft, with Calacatta "Wow" flooring on the lift platform. The master suite's bathroom showcases Dolomite del Sud "Select." Marble and Granite Service, along with Ligtvoet Natuursteen, handled the material supply. Antolini, established in 1956 in Verona, Italy, offers over 1,300 stone varieties. This project was featured on Dezeen on 12 October 2026.
